Ecuador needs your help!
This is the time when we pull together and help! Please give a helping hand.
Ecuador was hit with a devastating 7.8 earthquake taking over 500 lives and injuring over 2,500 people. Some areas still have no access to medical aid, communication and transportation, power and Internet. Also there are a lots of people who has lost it all.
We are a group of Ecuadorians residing in Atlanta who are in contact with the Task Force (Florida chapter) to mobilize trained doctors to the affected areas. These doctors are experts in catastrophes and can provide amazing help. They are ready to go, we are currently working with organizations in Ecuador to find the areas that these doctors will be needed the most!
We will need funds in order to mobilize this group of doctors and the logistics of it. This will have a huge impact and can save many lives! All funds raised through here will be used by "Ecuador in our hearts - desde Atlanta" to mobilize the Task force and provide the needed medical supplies if funds allow.
FEMA may be activated and in that case they will send the taskforce. In the case that FEMA is activated then the funds will go to help the people in the hospitals directly where the Task Force will be.

The following information GoFund me has asked us to ensure the validity of the fundraising.
For Gofundme :
1. Who you are : We are a group of volunteers working along with organizations in Atlanta and Ecuador to send a team of doctros and medical supplies to the most needed areas in ecuador
2. Where you're from: We are 4 volunteers, all from Ecuador, residing in the USA
3. Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for. Ecuador has lost over 500 lives, even though there is no families relationships with them. We feel it is our duty to do whatever we can to support. This fund will buy supplies to send to Ecuador, The organization in ecuador will be in charge of transporting the goods to the affected areas.
4. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible): We are working along doctors and customs in Ecuador to receive a list of the medical supplies that are mostly needed and that customs will allow to enter the country. With this list, which includes medicine supplies and emergency equipment we will send the supplies through Delta Cargo that has an agreement for 15 days with the Ecuadorian consulate working aligned with us.
5. How you intend to get the funds to those in need. Through Go fund me account, there will be a garage sale this weekend, we are organizing a walk / 5k, we are also collecting at churches to reach out to as many people as possible to help the affected families in Ecuador
I, Marjorie Flores , am going to be withdrawing the funds directly and will be handling them to arrange the transportation fees of the team of doctors and buy medical supplies needed in Ecuador. Through GoFundMe there will be full transparency on the donations received and how the funds will be used. We will be posting receipts and updates throughout the campaign on the facebook page.
