Have a Heart - For the Borenski Family

John Borenski, husband of Amy Keidel Borenski, has been diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome (a.k.a. cardiac sudden death syndrome) and Alpha-1 antitrypsin (AAT) deficiency which is a condition in which the body does not make enough of a protein that protects the lungs and liver from damage. As a result, John has undergone several surgeries including cardiac surgery (including placement of a pacemaker and defibrillator) and is now facing surgery to remove part of his lung.

While the Borenski's have medical insurance, they are facing significant out-of-pocket expenses for medical treatment and John will be out of work during his recovery.
