Damaged Handicap Van Replacement
Donation protected
On January 11th, 2017 a hit and run driver struck the home wheelchair ramp and wheelchair lift side of an accessible van owned by Charles and Rosetta Herrle in Sanitaria Springs, NY.
The van is the only way for them to get around on a daily basis. Lift transportation by the county run service operates only twice a week to their area.
The money raised here will be used to offset the insurance deductable and uncovered portions to replace the damaged van.
Friends and neighbors have already stepped forward to help fix the wheelchair ramp. Now we need to continue moving forward and help them get back to being able to be self-sufficient with travel.
The suspect vehicle is a Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable, and possibly white or light in color. This is based on a foam support that was left and paint transfer on the van.
Please let us know if you have any questions. As a friend of the family, I will forward any questions to them to answer.
