What-Clint will be running approximately 50 miles starting on June 19th to kick off our annual Gold Ribbon Run to support Families of Children with Cancer.

Where-Starting and ending at Green Isle Park in Allouez, WI

When-Friday June 19th till 8:00am Saturday, June 20th for the start of the Gold Ribbon Run.

 Families of Children with Cancer, Inc . is a non-profit organization supported by tax-deductible contributions and fund-raising activities. No salaries are paid, and all monies directly benefit area families of children with cancer. We provide: 

Limited financial assistance to families whose child is in treatment. 

 2nd grant wishes for kids who need an extra pick me up. 

 Gas vouchers for physician appointments regardless of where they live. 

Scholarships for post secondary education for survivors. 

 Annual Christmas party. 

Annual August fishing trip in Upper Michigan. 

Annual ski trip to Ski Brule. 

Tuition for various camps for the child and/or family. 

 Funding of activities & supplies by the hospital Child Life Specialist. 

Bravery beads for the child with cancer.

Running history- I have participated in roughly 12-5k's, 11-10k's, 5-half marathons, 5-full marathons, 1-8 hour timed run (completed 39.25 miles), 2-50k's and attempted Fall 50 solo last year but did not finish. I did make it 44 miles, though. I participated in the Bellin Health Titletown Race Series in 2013 which consisted of 6 races where I placed first overall in my age group. Last year I ran the Cellcom Marathon with myTEAM Triumph and had a life changing experience with them. They are an organization that pushes people with disabilities through all types of endurance events from 5k's to Ironman triathlons.  I recently completed the Oshkosh Marathon this year with them and followed that up the following weekend by running the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. Just this past Saturday I completed my second 50k on the Ice Age Trail in La Grange which is just outside of Whitewater.
