Why am I (Dean Landers, Owner/Inventor, Giant Soaker Co.) seeking gofundme support for my invention, the Go Soak It! Fire Buster System?

Introducing new technology by a lone inventor, with limited resources, is very difficult if not overwhelming.  Resistance to new technology is significant in many industries, usually requiring large companies with deep pockets to break through and gain acceptance for their product. 

I have found the wildfire protection industry particularly resistant to new ideas and technology.   Many practices and equipment utilized by wildfire protection and suppression entities, government and private, have not been significantly updated in 50 years or more.

These outdated approaches include employing fire crews with hand tools and labor intensive techniques, to dig fire lines and suppress fires.   Many wildfire fighters get seriously injured or lose their lives when placed in close proximity to hellish firestorms.  Water bombers, another old technology used since the 1950’s, are often used as a cure all for impeding wildfires with limited results given that they can carry only a small
amount of water. DC 10 water bombers, carry 10,000 gallons of water per load, a drop in the bucket when fighting a wildfire.

Also, it is exponentially more expensive to put water in the air as opposed to pumping water along the ground, where that is feasible.  With lives and property on the line, fighting wildfires with inefficient and outdated technologies when better options are available, is unconscionable in this era of global warming and the ever increasing incidence of wildfires.  Please help
me move forward with the Go Soak It! Fire Buster System, a new and better way to protect lives and property from wildfires.

 
The Go Soak It!  Fire Buster System

 The Go Soak It! Fire Buster System (patent pending) is a new technology invented by Dean Landers for protecting structures, including homes, from wildfires and other exterior fires. Go Soak It! is superior to existing home wildfire protection technologies as it puts significantly more water on and around the home, causing wildfires to flare over or go around the water drenched building, not burning it down.

 In 2007 I was watching a California wildfire on CNN and came up with the idea of scaling up the basic concept of a garden soaker/sprinkler hose to a 4 inch lay flat pvc hose (with holes along the length of it, dispersing water equally along each side  of the 600 foot hose which is capped off at the end) connected to a 9 hp water pump with a suction hose drawing water from any water source; pool, pond, tank, reservoir, lake, stream, reservoir, river etc. Up to 425 gallons of water per minute is emitted from holes in the Go Soak It! hose which is laid over and around structures to create a wet microclimate which causes wildfires to flare over or go around buildings, preventing buildings, including homes, from burning down. 

The 425 gallons of water per minute output of the Go Soak It! is 85 times the output of a standard garden soaker hose (5 gallons of water per minute).

I went to big companies who rejected my idea saying I was crazy and it would never work.  I then worked on the project myself in my yard inventing the Go Soak It! Fire-Buster-System in 2014 (patent pending). I have encountered nothing but rejection from the outdated, non-innovative wildfire protection equipment industry that makes high profits off their status quo way of doing things.

However, I have not sold one Go Soak It! Fire Buster System. Reason: Vested interests don't want my product to supplant their old less effective technology. I am the owner/inventor of the Giant Soaker Company and have run out of funds to successfully validate my product.   

 I feel like David going up against Goliath.   However, we know the outcome of that famous battle and I will win out against entrenched old-school interests with your help.  Lives and property are at stake.
