My son George Gannon has been in Thailand for a couple of years , settling in Koh Pangan with his girlfriend Natalie Grace where they have built their own business helping islanders with their social media and websites. George even started DJing and they have a dog rescue centre and are running campaigns for environmental conservation on the island with beach clean ups and teaching both locals and travellers about plastics. Then, on the morning of Sept 25th 2018, George woke up and he had lost the ability to speak and move his legs. After a long boat trip with a team of nurses and his girlfriend by his side, they arrived at Koh Samui hospital. George has been diagnosed with a brain tumour which they believe is malignant . This may have metastasised (or spread) from skin cancer for which he was treated some 2 years ago  He has no medical insurance and the bills are running at approx £600 per day. A neurosurgeon will be with him from Bangkok on the weekend of 30th/31st Sept when they will decide if they can operate. We want to, if at all possible and if they can reduce the swelling, to fly him home to be with his family here. Myself and my youngest son will be flying out as soon as we can to be with him  With your help, we can stay near to the hospital and when , God willing, George is able, we can fly back with him to get medical attention in the UK Please help in any way you can. I need to be with my son and bring him home or at the very least, get the treatment he needs in Thailand People have been asking for a pay pal account as well if this is your preferred way to donate the email address is Sarah@evison.myzen.co.uk   Thank you for your kind and generous donations x

Hello everyone and thank you for bearing with me with George's progress updates.
Both he and Natalie are back on British soil after flying home last week and they seem to have settled into their room at our home.
George has now registered at a local GP and yesterday he was fast tracked to the hospital for blood tests. Today he will have an urgent MRI scan as one was not carried out in Thailand, before the neurosurgeon and his team at North Staffs hospital in Stoke decide on the treatment he will need to undertake.
At this time we are unsure what this treatment will entail but with love and continued support we know we will beat this.
Again, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for your kind words , messages of support and of course your donations which without., it would not have been possible to get George home.
Thank you xx

We are coming home! George has been given his fit to fly certificate and so we leave the beauty of Koh Samui on Wednesday returning to the UK on Thursday of this week
without you this would not have been possible and the whole family thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity
but unfortunately it doesn't stop here. Upon our return, George will start cancer treatment at the North Staffs hospital in Stoke. His girlfriend, Natalie and George will be staying with my family whilst he undergoes whatever treatment he requires. It's not going to pleasant nor easy, but we look forward with positivity and light in our hearts.
Please do not stop donating as any amount is , believe me, going towards Georges wellbeing in the future
Again , thank you all

Hello from Koh Samui
some fabulous news thanks to all you wonderful people. This morning George had not only the bandages removed, but also the stitches out. He has gone for another CT scan for a follow up and we are now awaiting a fit to fly certificate. George and Natalie are so very grateful, as am I and my whole family. The road continues upon our return when George attends hospital and they assess for treatment. We are yet unsure when we will fly home, but we are coming home soon England!!
We are forever in your gratitude guys for all the support, love, good wishes and donations
Go Team George!!

Hey guys. Better news after a dreadful day yesterday. Thanks to you wonderful people, we have managed to get George a private room rather that ward he was sharing with 39 other patients, both men and women, along with their families kipping on the floor. Natalie is now able to shower, as will George with a plastic bag on his head!!
George is still very poorly but lucid and managing the odd joke! He is walking and talking well although he loses his train of thought often. The neurosurgeon is set to return on Friday. He does have a couple of other smaller tumours towards the back of his head and the hospital here are in contact with the nhs in Stoke who have agreed for him to be a patient at North Staffs. Awaiting the surgeon before I post again. As soon as he gets a fit to fly, we will come home but this MUST be by business class as he will need to lie down
May I take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to everyone for your kind words of encouragement and good wishes. We really are humbled by the response to the gofundme page and huge thanks to all who have donated so far. We have a long long journey ahead of us guys... please keep sharing and donating.
