Geeta Pandya Memorial Fundraising

Geeta started in FCTG with Student Flights in 2005, then moved to the Mt Ommaney store the following year where she has been ever since.
Geeta was well known and loved by her customers, her work mates, our product reps and could launch a thousand planes with the power of her smile. She was known for her beautiful Saris at every ball and her generous feeding of the team with her exotic home made traditional dishes.
Geeta was a colleague, a friend, a mother and at times these roles would all fold into one, she was generous, passionate and kind. Geeta championed the cause of her customer making sure they received great service, turning them into friends. Geeta was never more proud than when she was talking about her beloved children, Maansi and Anand who it seems have grown up with all of us and have been a part of our FC family along with Geeta.
Sadly, Geeta suffered from a brain aneurysm suddenly on 2nd July, and despite several surgeries, treatment and the well wishes and prayers of our FCTG tribe, her family and friends; her condition was diagnosed as terminal. Geeta passed away peacefully on 1st August. In the words of her beautiful Maansi, "mum lived a full and happy life, she loved her work and her friends, she died happy and without regret".
We, her family, her village and her tribe thank you for all of your kind words and we feel blessed to have known someone who is so hard to say goodbye to.
"It takes a village to raise a child" - we have been inundated with offers of help and support for our fundraising efforts, a reflection on how loved Geeta is in our community. We are fundraising to take care of the ones that Geeta loved so much, Maansi and Anand; so that this time can in some way for them be surrounded by the warmth of community.
