Ballroom Dancing for G W Childs

Arts in Schools Collaborative is thrilled to bring its ballroom dance program to Philadelphia schools. Based on the nonprofit Dancing Classrooms program of New York City’s American Ballroom Theater, Dancing Classrooms Philly provides ballroom dancing to 5th grade within the school day, twice weekly for 45 minutes per session for 10 weeks.  Specially trained teaching artists will work with the 5th grade classes, one class only at a time.

 Help us bring this great program to George W Childs Elementary School. The program teaches many things besides dance! Social skills, grace, patience, poise, confidence and pride. We have two fifth grade classes next school year 2016-2017 and need approximately $1800 per class. Help us with whatever amount you can and support our wonderful students.  #ThankATeacher
