Great Valley Veterans Memorial

The Great Valley Alumni Association is excited to partner with The Foundation at Great Valley to raise funds for a memorial that will honor GV alumni who died in military service. The memorial will be erected on the Great Valley High School campus to honor the sacrifice of Great Valley High School graduates for their country. While the Class of 1968 has already expressed interest in supporting the memorial project, other classes are also welcomed and encouraged to participate.

Four Great Valley graduates who lost their lives during the Vietnam War have already been identified:

Gary D. Jefferis ‘65

Lewis R. Valentine ‘67

Nicholas L. Venditti ‘66

Robert J. Nixon ‘65

Thank you to Michael Scheibe, retired owner of Malvern Memorials and GV Alumni, who graciously donated his time for the initial design of the monument. We have partnered with H.C. Wood Memorials to complete the installation of the memorial, which we hope to dedicate to the high school during Homecoming in October 2018.

All funds raised will be used for the memorial and for landscaping around the site.  The goal of the fundraising campaign is $10,000.
