Sept 11: 15 Year Anniversary Travel

Four members of our band have been invited as guests of another police pipeband to travel to New York City for the 15th Anniversary of the Sept 11, 2001 tragedy.
Scott Stanton, Chase Smith, Nate Brown, and Aaron Drake will be headed to NYC on Sept 8, 2016 to help commerate the events alongside other pipers and drummers in lower Manhattan, NY.
They will be participating in events including a parade on Sept 9th and Massed Bands event on the 10th in lower Manhattan. On the 11th NYPD will have a memorial service they will attend and watch. They will return the evening of the 11th to North Carolina.
This is a tremendous honor for these four guys because they are all either in the police or fire service. They are sworn first responders and musicians.
The expenses for this trip are high due to the costs associated with the travel and hotel rooms in Manhattan. Additionally there are some fees for arranged meals and fees that need to be paid
Their entire band is not going so they are raising money to go as guests of another band and they cant deplete the current band funds.
The total that needs to be raised is $3000. The two hotel rooms alone are $2000 plus all the other fees associated with traveling that far. The band is a 501c3 and your donation is deductable.
