Gus (Jason Gustafson) lived in the building on the corner of 7th & 2nd for 5 years -- and on Thursday, March 26, he suddenly lost everything.
The tragic East Village explosion and fire that afternoon eventually led to the collapse of all three buildings, and now all that's left of his apartment is a massive pile of debris.
Thankfully, Gus and his roommates were all out of the apartment and safe -- and if you know him, you know he is one of the most optimistic and resilient humans on this planet.
