This campaign is for Andrea Hogan, a young mom of two, who is battling terminal cancer.
Last year, Andrea was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. She since has bravely gone through many gruelling rounds of chemotherapy and radiation amongst other treatments, travelling up and down to Cork University Hospital on a regular basis for many of these.
After finding out about her diagnosis, instead of dwelling on the terrible news, Andrea took action to help others and make something positive out of a difficult situation. She set up a huge fundraiser to raise funds for the Breast Cancer unit in Cork University Hospital and the Oncology Unit in Kerry General Hospital, the two units that were providing her support. Andrea also shaved her head on the night and donated her locks to the Rapunzel Foundation which is an organization that works to improve the lives of those living with hair loss. The fundraiser was a huge success with the community rallying around Andrea and raising almost €8,000 for the two units that have helped Andrea so much in her time of need.

Unfortunately Andrea recently discovered her cancer has spread to other organs and is now tragically incurable. Now it is time for us to come together again and help Andrea in return during her time of need, and help her to make memories of a lifetime with her family and ensure that she receives the best level of care possible.
