Jesus told us plainly how we can love him. He told us to take care of each other. "When I was sick and in prison, you came and looked after me. But when did we see you lonely, sick, or in prison, his disciples asked. Jesus replied, ' when you did it for the least of these my brothers, you did it for me'."
If there was ever a man whose life and ministry was devoted to living out this message, it would be the life and ministry of Fred Speckert. Fred has given his life to taking care of those who have had needs. Everywhere he goes he has lived and ministered to others by meeting their needs first.
Now our brother Fred is in need. Fred has suffered a full cardiac arrest, heart attack that has left his body in great need of rest and repair. Fred is only 5 months away from retirement. Obviously, due to the heart attack he will be unable to go back to work. With the extra medical expenses there is now a great need to come along side of Fred and help care for him.
Friends, we would like to ask for your help to give back to a man who has given so much to others. Your financial support would be so helpful to minister to Fred and his family. Your gifts would help this family cover the overwhelming medical costs they are now facing, and could help out with day to day expenses so Fred does not have to worry about going back to work at all.
We know there are many many lives that Fred has touched. From his youth when he volunteered and grew at his church in Mt. Healthy through the years where he has served at several churches to his later years where he poured his life into troubled at risk teens with no where else to turn. We are reaching out to as many of his friends as we can. Because the need is great. We are asking that you would let God use you to help with this great need. We know Fred and Cathy have their trust in God to help in every circumstance in life. We also know that God uses his people to carry out his will.
We wanted you to be aware of the need, so God's people can do God's will... take care of each other. Thank you!
