ForHumanity is a non-profit organization. We focus on the downside risk associated with the advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation in order to achieve the best possible outcome for all of humanity.
ForHumanity, is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity formed to examine and analyze the downside risks associated with the ubiquitous advance of AI and Automation. Further, to engage in risk control and mitigation, where possible, to ensure the optimal outcome…ForHumanity. Our organization is currently composed of an interdisciplinary group of highly-dedicated volunteers with over 100 contributors and 23 Fellows. We possess a wide range of expertise in AI - spanning AI ethicists to AI security.
Our team comes from academia, legal, corporate and public sectors from countries around the world. We are mission-driven and, as a result, the entire team of expert volunteers regularly helps to grow our network.
Independent Audit of AI Systems (IAAIS) seeks to create an infrastructure of trust for all autonomous systems which directly impact humans. We focus on Ethics, Bias, Privacy, Trust, and Cybersecurity as our lens and filter. Our contributors join with deep knowledge and are experts in some or all of those areas, both theoretically and practically. We are drafting audit rules and standards for autonomous systems in every corner of the economy and forming cohorts that bring our experts together with industry practitioners to ensure that the audits achieve their mission of mitigating risks to humans while being comprehensive, pragmatic, and implementable.
We have drafted over 3000+ lines of audit and are working towards certification with the ICO in the UK and beginning to see audits performed in a test environment.
The concept of all of this is simple, If we can make safe and responsible AI profitable, whilst making dangerous and irresponsible AI costly, then humanity wins.
