Who We Are:
Hi everyone, my name is Catina Flowers. My husband and I are middle class workers who parent three children, and have a grandchild on the way! I am an English teacher, and I tried as I could to make ends meet with what I had- but our lives were recently jerked our of out hands and slammed onto the ground by a painfully unfortunate natural disaster.
The Flood:
On Saturday, August 13, 2016, our family was devistated by The Historic Flood of 2016. We were trapped by water rushing quickly into our home and had to say goodbye to our home of 20 years for the last time as we were rescued by way of boat. As we floated away with nothing but the clothes on our backs, we had yet to realize that our entire lives were being wiped away...we lost everything. Our pregnant daughter has nothing for her baby when she brings it home from the hospital. Our family lived in a NO FLOOD ZONE- this was a rare occurance for our area.
Right now we are temorarily sleeping at my mother's home, looking forward to a fresh start.

-Cleaning supplies

-Soap, detergent
-Baby clothes
Our family of six is under the most stressful situation we have ever encountered, and we are asking for generous donations of any size. Anything at this point means everything.
