Love For Flash & Cheryl

Donation protected
We have a dear friend in pain. Not the kind of pain that goes away, the kind that lasts a lifetime. A lifetime that by all accounts is nearing its final lap.
Flash has been fighting multiple conditions, beginning with his Sarcoidosis of his lungs, enlarged liver, varices in his veins, and a pancreatic cyst.
We aren't looking at a cure, we are looking at his quality of life. Flash has had an immeasurably huge impact in our lives and we want to do what we can to help him and his family.
He is currently in Hospice, let's rally together to ease this one burden we can while he and his wife Cheryl fight this battle.
Flash is a Father, Grandfather, Husband, Veteran, and Friend. We can't take the pain away, but maybe we can help remove the distraction of some of the costs that are incurred via the care he needs and let him focus on being as healthy as possible with the time he has left with his family.

Quoting Flash's Facebook: “In order to be eligible to elect hospice care under Medicare, an individual must be entitled to Part A of Medicare and certified as being terminally ill by a physician and having a prognosis of 6 months or less if the disease runs its normal course. No less than 5 doctors (probably more) have certified that I will die in 6 months or less and have strongly urged me to choose hospice. I elected this course primarily because even after multiple second opinions there just isn't any additional treatment options available. There isn't a surgery, risky or otherwise that might help. There isn't any drug, experimental or otherwise that I could take that may help. It has just been a chorus of, "I am so sorry, but there just isn't anything else I can do to help you." Transplantation is the only viable option, but all doctors are also in agreement that I would not survive the surgery let alone survive the recovery process when considering my current state of my health, weight, strength, etc. At the least I need two new lungs and a liver. It seems that I would need to get them all at the same time, which is not easy even for a 'healthy' person (assuming one could be called healthy needing two lungs and a liver). The hope for myself and Cheryl is that hospice care will stabilize me and I will regain a significant amount of weak, along with some strength."

Let's do what we can, every bit helps
