Since our opening in 2011, Who have you seen lending Flamenco talent for the greater cause of the community in the Treasure Valley?

If you are thinking Escuela de Ritmo/Shimi Tree, then you are apart of the community that has experienced pure, traditional Flamenco direct from the roots of Spain.

You may have seen us raising funds for organizations in need by performing and raffling one of our sizzling private party packages at: Curtis Steiger's Extreme Holiday Extravaganza, World Village, or Boise International Market.

Or perhaps you brought your child to a cultural enrichment program like TRICA's GlobeTrotters, Kidfort or ReArt Boise Public Library.

Maybe we surprised you with our deep rooted knowledge of Spanish Flamenco's ties to the world in performances with Steinway Allstars: Sounds of Cuba, Sin Fronteras (Boise Hive and Hispanic Cultural Center) or at the secret intimate venue 36th Street Urban Yurt.

We have been working hard to set a positive community presence here in the Treasure Valley. As Flamenco is deep rooted, family-community oriented so is our dedication to you-our public, fans, neighbors, and friends.

In 2016 we are gearing up to give more to you, your family, your neighborhoods and organizations but we need your help!

There is no such thing as a gift 'too small' to help get our non profit up and running. We have plans to pay your friendly efforts forward.

Thank you for donating, for sharing this page and for being the smiling faces in our audience-we love giving to you and enriching the culture of the Treasue Valley

Cheers
Estefanía and Luis de La Tota

ESCUELA DE RITMO Non Profit Startup

Serving Treasure Valley schools, festivals and fundraisers, Escuela de Ritmo has been sharing authentic traditional Flamenco since 2011. In March of 2016 we hope to have the funds to make a big change that will benefit the the schools and community in Idaho.

We believe that by becoming a 501c3 Non Profit, we will be able to better serve the community. This GoFundMe is to help raise the fees associated with becoming a non-profit as well as the certified professional hired to prepare the legal documents. Your donation is appreciated and also tax deductable!

Directed by Local Flamenco dancer/singer Estefanía Sanchez  EDR  began as a website that shared our love and knowledge for Flamenco with it's culture.

'I wanted to find ways to connect our life as Americans to the Flamenco experience with the goal of celebrating both uniqueness (differences) alongside similarities or share values between the two cultures. Flamenco gives people a way to express themselves deeply and by nature, it creates a community that listens with an open mind. As a school, we have been able to build confident communicators and willing listeners who through dance and music, can express and receive in a positive light.'

Since 2011, Without a studio to call home, Luis, a Native of Southern Spain and Estefanía began teaching dance rhythm and singing classes from their home.

'We had to build a community from scratch. A community that values family, friends and sharing a culture in it's true form.' Says Luis de La Tota, 'To do this, we began where Flamenco began hundreds of years ago-in the Spanish Gypsy home between family friends and neighbors'

Today they are thankful for your generous donations!

We look forward to continue serving events such as World Village, ReArt Boise Public Library, Dia de Los Muertos Downtown Nampa, TRICA GlobeTrotters, TRICA Kidfort (TreeFort Fest), Latino Festival, Art in the Park, Global Lounge, Curtis Steigers Extreme Holiday Extravaganza, Idaho Fine Arts Academy and much much more!

Escuela de Ritmo Mission Statement:
By keeping with traditional values based in family, community and providing an open door of learning opportunity to the next generation of local youth, we seek to preserve the roots of a World Heritage artform known as Flamenco. Through performance as well as educational classes, the mission of Escuela de Ritmo is to share not only the traditional folk rhythms music and dance of Flamenco, but the Spanish Gypsy culture that has existed with it for hundreds of years.
