Funding The Fight To Fly Our Flag
I am raising funds to be able to fight my HOA legally. They have an extensive team of vicious attorneys working for them, and I am struggling to pay my attorney, Gust G Sarris, anything at all. Any money I raise will go to fight to fly the Flag. I will not be paying ANY of the $8,000 in fines that they have penalized me with. All funds raised are going to be used to pay for the legal battle that I will be dealing with between the forclosure on my home and the lawsuit against Del Webb.

This man has done so much for the singles at this HOA, for years he singlehanded has kept the monthly single party going. Emailing for volunteers,ALWAYS thanking those who have opened their home. He has made Sweetwater a welcoming new home for seniors moving here. The man is a gem.,always smiling and friendly with everyone. The HOA director does not want her rules questioned and the rules are added maybe years after moving in and conversely taken away. For example, single family homes were allowed to cut down their live oak trees and not have to replace them with any trees. Rules that have been added since I moved in 2008 are violations for viewing the garden hose from the street, even though Pulte had installed hose wrap a rounds. Now, if a code enforcer could view your hose from the street, you received a letter. I mean a neatly wrapped hose. No plants around mail boxes. No flowering Mandavilla vines except on a particular exact spot. My neighbor had a beautiful handmade Italian small plaque with his name. He had it on his home for years. New rule. Remove it. No pretty plaques allowed, again only in a specific spot. I was told to remove my satellite dish. When I went to inquire about this, I was told to either get a letter on Direct TV letterhead stating they had to place it toward the front or removed it or " I would be taken to court". I explained I no longer use Direct T V and Our CAM said their maintenance man would remove it at a small price. The price was 60.00 and he removed it on our time, meaning time our dues pay for. Yes, I knew Fed. Law allows for one satellite dish but I, as most other inmates ( oops, I mean residents) chose to do what is demanded rather than insist on educating the Architectural Board what Florida law allows. There were no flags allowed even in the single homes until Mr. Murphree fought this rule. He lives in connected homes. Until he fought with them, no Xmas lights were allowed outside their " homes". Larry decorated his van and this infuriated our CAM. Now, they can decorate with Xmas lights but they removed them tastefully wrapped around the city light poles. Saying they were a hazard, they were solar lights! They removed them at night and stripped away all the work the residents had done to decorate. Driving into the connected homes at Christmas looked dismally dark. Larry had this rule modified. A lady who used to have one of the most wonderful parties, stopped having them as she was afraid she would be cited. Another lady had to remove plexiglass removed from her Lanai , not glass, acrylic material. They keep narrowing the town homes homeowners " space" until nothing is theirs outside their four walls. Another example,Larry went to great expense and received permission from the Skinner family to place Solar, not electric, lights on the burm behind his town home. It was beautiful. Two cops, and the security guard showed up demanding he remove them. The city police told Larry they had no authorization to ask him to take down solar lights but the CAM had kept calling and they wanted her to just stop. When he told them he had permission and called the Skinner brothers, they also said Katie Hollis had called them so much, it was just better he remove them. So, he did. The single homes are not allowed hanging baskets, not dead flowered hanging baskets....No hanging baskets period . A new resident installed a well after spending 1000 for sod and 700 in water bills. This soil is full of rocks and Fl. Law recognizes what fertilizer is doing to our River. He went to a hearing and they lied to him telling him wells had never been allowed. I know of two homes that they finally gave in on their wells. Yet, this new resident was told to remove his, after he had installed it. Larry allowed his flag suit to be dismissed because they recognized both state and Fed. Law allows an American flag to be displayed. My neighbor, in his single home, has his on a 30' pole after Larry hired an attorney and forced them to allow them. So, he allowed his flag suit to be dismissed and we had a celebration party two years ago. And then BOOM, they pass a new rule only PLANTS can be in the one allowed flower pot. This is a NEW RULE so those who argue the regulations were agreed to before signing documents are sadly mistaken. The HOA adds new rules, changes old ones all with no notice. Our CAM is paid over 75k/ year yet she didn't come to work yesterday leaving an 8-9/hr. Elderly resident to answer the hundreds of irate calls. It was 50 calls at 8:30 but the trained CAM who started and kept on harassing Mr. Murphree on every issue until he hired an attorney, does not show up for work. Leaving an elderly underpaid senior to fend off the angry calls. I personally like Katie very much so this is painful to write but I am not a fair weather friend and Larry increases my and most everyone I know, enjoyment and he does it with no compensation. The las
