Hello all, My name is Andy, I'm a 28 year old engaged father of 2. My children are Kyra (age 9) and Adrian (age 6). I'm engaged to an incredible woman Velvet, we have been together for 7 1/2 years now. I've come to gofundme due to some unfortunate events. All within a 3 month period I was layed off from my job and our car had broken down completely with no money to fix it. My fiance was actually able to find a job 3-4 months later at a job she dreads (as a telemarketer for a dental program, I apologize if she's called you lol) but since then I have not been able to find work anywhere near a bus stop. I've applied for everything from McDonalds to Best Buy and all I ever seem to get are calls about warehouse positions that are 35+ miles away. Even Verizon Wireless called me but I could not make it to the training center because it is 40 miles away. Needless to say, a car would be very beneficial right now. My fiance works very hard for the bills and I'm the stay at home dad for the time being, but financially we are struggling. We go paycheck to paycheck paying bills, not knowing if laundry will get done this week or the next. I know getting a car would change all of this for the better, all I want now is to be able to support my family financially like I was able to do before. This is a really hard thing for me to do, I don't like asking for help from anyone ever, but my father once told me that sometimes people need help, you may not want to accept it, but for your children, sometimes you have to swallow your pride and ask for help. So here I am, asking for help from every and anyone who can help us along the way, our goal is $6000 so we may get a simple sedan that will cost around $5000 and the rest will be covering taxes and fees etc. We believe in paying it forward, always have, always will. So if the money does surpass our goal, we will be using that excess money to donate to another gofundme account as well. We are strong believers in Karma, we are just hoping it finally comes around for us. If you have read this, thank you very much for your time, We deeply appreciate it.
