Family Secrets - The Movie
Family Secrets is a stage play, which over the past few years, has been shown at several theatres across London, Birmingham and Manchester. The comedy drama centres on a Christian family who, despite loving each other dearly, are going through individual struggles they just can’t share with each other. John and Shirley have been married for 38 years and have raised 3 God-fearing, intelligent and respectful children. Ruth, the oldest, is a happily married and successful career woman. Naomi, the second born, is about to be married to the man of her dreams and wedding plans are coming together nicely. Zach, the youngest, has just graduated from university with first class honors. What could possibly be wrong with anyone in this family?
The storyline explores a range of social issues that affect audiences from all walks of life and over the years we’ve watched it develop into a piece that evokes topical debate from our packed audiences each time it’s shown.

On the back of its success, the stage play has been adapted for the big screen which will allow us to reach a wider and even more diverse audience.

The vision is huge. We have taken an enormous leap of faith in undertaking the production of this piece ourselves but there is an abundance of talent and experience in the team so we know, with a little help from you, we can do this!

Why should you support this project?
Making a feature film is no small feat and we can’t do it alone. We believe in this project and so we’re pooling our resources – time, money and expertise – to make it a reality. By coming onboard, you’ll be helping an amazing bunch of people fulfill one of their biggest dreams; making an independent film and giving a voice to the ‘under-voiced’ in the film industry.

What will the money be spent on?
There are numerous costs involved in producing a feature film. The funds raised will be spent on everything from pre to post production including technical equipment, locations, cast and crew, editing and marketing.

Follow us on the journey
We’ll keep you updated with our progress here . From information on our cast and crew, to the locations we’ll be filming at and of course that exciting moment when the cameras start rolling.

So that’s what we’re doing in a nutshell. Pre-production commences in earnest next month so we’ll need a good chunk of the funds by the first week in August. Anything you can donate toward making this project a reality and supporting us on this journey would be greatly appreciated.
