I am currently pursuing my dream—to swim in the 2020 Summer Olympics in TOKYO!!
I do need a bit of your help, though, in getting there....

Hi there, my name is Faith Newkirk I am a competitive swimmer.

How long have I been swimming? Since I was six years old and living in Pittsburgh, PA. I then continued swimming in Doha, Qatar, where I lived for 12 years. While in Doha, I competed in local and international meets, winning medals at various levels.

I moved to New York October 2017 I swam at Asphalt Green Masters and worked there to support myself. I had an offer to moved to Maryland to train with Elite Rays.
Moved to Prince George County with not much money. Was homeless but through God’s divine connection I stay with a loving family.

I have worked 8 jobs to support myself and walked over 5miles to swim practice at Prince George Community College.
I still walk if I do not have a ride to where practice is located.

I currently have 4 jobs to support food, transportation, swim suits, swim gear, cost of swim meets, cost of living. etc.. My Jobs Take Time Away From Training. I am seeking your help to raise money so I can purely focus on Swimming and winning Gold.

I am determined to win gold not only for my glory but Gods Glory. I have been through tough times but I know that I will make it with Christ on my side.

“Swimming is not just a sport, it's a lifestyle, it's my superpower. I work with the water and allow it to communicate to me and I communicate back, we work as one.”

IT WAS AN AMAZING WEEKEND BEING AT ST. Mary’s College in MD. GREAT PEOPLE GREAT ENERGY!

This meet was a “training swim meet” my coach put me in to see how I compete as a swimmer and what we can work on for the rest of the season.

I am learning so much and it makes me fall in love with the sport all over again. Now that you have strength and power, it’s maintaining it and using strategies to dominate...

Yes, I am an Olympic Swimmer. I’m also a speaker. On March 22nd I was invited as one of the keynote speakers for @theomniproject_

The OMNI Project is a Youth Community based in DC gathering people especially young adults to bring their skills, talents to better the community by working together in unity.

The topic I spoke on was “Finding Your Purpose”. I believe to work together as a community is know who your were called to be. How can you work together if you don’t know what you were designed for?

Below is the link to the full speech.

Hello again. It has been a while since my last update.
I have been hard at work in and out of the pool. Over the summer I've obtained 8 jobs to support my self financially for food, transportation, swim gear, and rent. I currently hold 4 jobs and started my own swim business.

Due to lack of sponsorship it is quite costly for me to support myself as a professional athlete. I am still in need of funds.

1 Racing Suit (needed for swim meets)
ranges from: $200-$500.
Practice swim suits ranges: $75-$80
The right nutritional foods to better my performance range: from $250-$300.
Transportation: I walk 6 miles to practice and back home, ( 12 miles) when I do not have a ride. I make no excuses but it can be challenging . Uber cost $200 a week.
I stay optimistic and determined despite what circumstance I may face.

My workout consists of training everyday in the gym for 1-2hrs and in the pool for 1-2hrs which can be vigorous and tiresome but worth it.

For my up coming competition in February 16-18th. 2019 I am training hard and know that I will ace and do my best in all my events. I will keep you posted on my performance through social media.

Thank you so much for all your support which helped me find a new place to stay and allowed me to eat.
