Fire-Help Rebuild Mobile Childrens Vision Clinic
Tax deductible
It is with a heavy heart that I must report that an electrical fire caused the total destruction and loss of our Mobile Children’s Vision Clinic. As you may know, it is aboard this 38 ft. Mobile Vision Clinic, staffed by eye care professionals, that Florida’s most at-risk children receive life changing comprehensive vision exams and new eyeglasses at no cost to the child or family.

On Sunday evening, December 9th, the Children's Vision Clinic experienced an electrical short and caught fire. The vehicle and all equipment therein was a total loss. Thankfully, no one was on the premises and no one was hurt. With great thanks to the rapid response of the Orange City Fire Department, an even more serious disaster to the building was prevented. Although the vehicle is insured, Florida’s Vision Quest expects there to be devastating financial loss as we seek to procure, rebuild and make the necessary modifications to a new mobile unit, in addition to the replacement of optical medical equipment and supplies.
We greatly appreciate your time, consideration and support - as this Mobile Vision Clinic is essential in changing the lives of thousands of children, and because of the emergent need, every hour and day in delay is a child not served.

Your contribution in any amount will help us to rebuild this critically important program within our community. We are committed to fiscal responsibility and good stewardship of the support and resources we receive from our generous benefactors.
Please forward this plea to your friends and family and encourage them to contribute! On behalf of Florida’s Vision Quest and the children we serve, thank you in advance for your precious gift, so we can continue to provide the gift of sight to children in need.
