AutoInjector Case Prototype
Donation protected
Please note: due to recent correspendence from Mylan (the makers of EpiPen®) I have been forced to alter the name of this device from EpiCase to AutoInjector Case.
I have severe allergies to cherries and sugar-snap peas. As a result, I need to carry an EpiPen® to ensure that I can administer epinephrine to counter the symptoms of an allergic reaction. If not treated quickly, these symptoms could close off my airway and kill me, so I need to have my EpiPen® on me at all times.
Unfortunately, like 2% of the world's population, I have no way of keeping my EpiPen® with me and at the same time ensuring it stays within the specified temperature range (5-25 degrees C). If the medicine becomes too hot or too cold, it does not work as well. There is currently NO portable case in existence that does this, except for mine.
The Autoinjector Case actively heats and cools the medicine to ensure that, when you need it, your medicine has not been damaged by heat or cold. It also alerts you to when it is approaching thermal thresholds and where it is located.
I already have a international patent, but need funding to complete the prototype and testing. Things you might find interesting:
+ For each donation of $50 or more, I will send you an AutoInjector Case for free when it has finished testing.
+ In addition, it is my intention, once AutoInjector Case becomes a profitable enterprise, to reimburse you your full donation amount, plus something 'extra' for their support at this early stage.
The Prototype is mid-way through completion, so the funding would be wonderful to have as soon as possible.
AutoInjector Case is the culmination of many years of research and planning and will save countless lives. At the very least, it will help those, like me, who left their EpiPen® in the car overnight, only to find it frozen solid the next morning, and so had to go out an purchase another one!! If only I had an AutoInjector Case, I would have been reminded that I had left it behind, and it would have been protected from the harsh temperatures anyhow.
I will be more than grateful for any financial assitance I might receive, and know that you will be helping to make the difference to save the lives of allergy sufferers worldwide.
