Endless History at Anime Expo

I am the sole writer, editor, and maintainer for the website Endless History. This website is a news blog dedicated to posting about updates and news around Nihon Falcom and their games, both in Japan and the English speaking regions. I have also run many features, like Fandom Friday and Translation Tuesday to give more information on Falcom's works to the English speaking fandom.

For the most part, everything has been able to be done on my own time, at home, and out of my own pocket. While I'm working, I try to work on articles when I'm finished and at home, and on the weekends. Everything for this site, from hosting to purchases of issues of Dengeki and Famitsu for articles has been out of my own pocket.

I've made it a strong point that I don't want people to spend money for my site, because I run it as a fan who loves Falcom, their games, and the rest of this amazing fandom.

However, something has come up and I need to finally reach out and ask for help.

Recently, when NIS America had their stream for Ys VIII on twitch, they revealed that they would be doing a major event at Anime Expo, featuring none other than Falcom's own president, Toshihiro Kondo as a guest. I have made attempts to reach out to Falcom to get questions answered and maybe get an exclusive interview with Kondo himself for the website, but I have been unsuccessful.

This time, I would like to travel to AX, meet up with the people at NIS America who are working on Ys VIII, and Toshihiro Kondo himself, and provide you, the readers, coverage of all of this, and maybe a couple of bonuses in the process.

Unfortunately, I've been in and out of jobs of late, and a trip across the US isn't easily feasible for me, even if done on a budget. Because of this, I feel that, if I want to accomplish this task, I will need to reach out to you, my readers, to get some help.

As many of you already know, I don't like asking for money- I don't even run advertisements on the site itself. However, this is an opportunity for coverage for my site that I feel like can't be missed. So I will, finally, be holding out a hat for assistance for this trip.

I've already made a budget for what the $800 will go towards while I'm staying Los Angeles- which I'm planning to be from June 29 - July 4.

* Airfare: $400
* Room and Board: $200
* Expenses during time at the convention (food, transport/lyft, etc): $200

I don't need access to Anime Expo, because I was just notified today that I've been approved for a press pass.

If I pull this off for less than $800, I will, of course, pump any remaining money into Endless History's hosting and ensure the website's operations. Anything over the $800 will also have the same result.

As a result, I can't thank you all enough for this, and if this trip ends up happening, I do promise some great bonus features for people! So don't think you won't get anything out of it on the website.

Your support has been greatly appreciated over these years, and I hope with this, I can provide you the coverage you want- especially to those who can't make it to AX themselves.
