Emily’s Arts

Donation protected
Emily fought Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma for 2 1/2 yrs. she was diagnosed on 3-3-15. She have over 65 chemo treatments, 28 radiation treatments, 7 surgeries where we ripped apart her little body trying to save her life! Emily spent a lot of time in the hospital. Even when she was home she often had to be isolated due to low counts and was from the beginning to weak to do much of anything. She turned to painting, sculpting, drawling and writing to help keep from going crazy! She lost friends, family, and any social life a typical 14 yr old should have. Art was her outlet! A place to put the anger, the pain and the fear! When Emily was told she only had two months to live on 1/19/17 she was so afraid of being forgotten! She cried to me... “mom, I’ll never get to make my mark!” I asked her what that looked like to her. She wanted to give to those that were in her shoes! Those locked away in a hospital, in pain, scared, fighting for their lives just looking for a little happiness. Emily’s Arts has become something that CCHMC( a non profit) has come to count on for paint, canvas, and other art supplies. Emily passed away on 9/27/17 @ 11:29am. She was born 9/27/00 @ 2:11 pm. She was 2 hrs and 42 minutes from becoming 17yrs old. Please help me celebrate this babies life by showing her she will never be forgotten! Please honor her first Heavenly birthday! Please help me help bring happiness to those still fighting for their lives! #InHonorOfEmily
