The Summer Creek High School family has become a little smaller as our good friend and colleague, Eduardo (Eddie) Palomarez passed away on November 26th; a departure which not only came too soon, but for which we were ill prepared. Eddie has been an Assistant Principal at Summer Creek since 2009. He is survived by his wife Cathy, who is Inventory and Textbook Specialist with Humble ISD and his two beautiful children. While Eddie was the go to man for technology support, textbooks or if he was championing for the Special Education Department, he mastered the art of being a loving father and a devoted husband. In order for us to show Eddie and his family that we can support them in their time of need, a Go Fund Me account has been established to assist in supporting his children's future education. The commitment to helping students that Eddie was so connected to in life extends beyond him even now, as his family has requested that in lieu of sending flowers, please commit a donation to his children’s scholarship fund. Eddie’s humor will be among the many things that will be missed, but it is his loyalty to his family and his commitment to his students and his life’s work in education that will frame his legacy.
