Dear Friends,
Our dream is to realize this Earthbag house project for an Ashram in Rishikesh, in the Himalayas of India, called Rishikesh Yogaashram. Your donation will help big time to set up infrastructure that is earthquake resistant, sustainable, low-tec and easy-to-build. In this project we will show the locals and volunteers how to build a beautiful house with mainly the earth on the building site, that has a very small impact on nature.

We use recycled materials, wood from local forrests for the roof and from the earth collected on site. So people will learn how to build in an eco-friendly and low-energy way. It will hopefully have an impact on many other architecture projects in the area, so that a lot of families will live in earthquake-safe and green houses.

The Rishikesh Yogaashram combines in a lovely way Yoga & Meditation with natural building projects. They already built an Earthship, and get their electricity from solar panels.  For the greenest future and for the benefit of Mother Earth.

With these funds raised here we will be able to buy the material needed like:
Earthbags, Barbed wire, rebars, stucco and cement, wood for roof, drainage, gravel foundation, windows, and a door. If people go crazy with donating - what would be just amazing - we would be able to get the interieurs as well, f.e. kitchen corner, toilet / shower and a stove, to keep the yogis/yoginis warm in cold himalayan winter nights :-)

We start April 3rd 2017, so there is not much time left.

Do you love nature, yoga and natural building? Go ahead and support this wonderful project!

My Name is Matthias "Matthu" Roth and I am thrilled to lead the project on the spot in Rishikesh India. I will dig the earth and fill the bags myself with hopefully many others and your donation as a huge support :-)

Sincerly,
Matthu

Liebe Freunde,

Herzlichst,
Matthu

Bondbeam is on, we are plastering.
A simple tin metal roof will protect the walls from the stormy monsoon hitting in soon. Materials like wood or steal, even simple metals are nearly the same prize like in Europe. So only the roof is about 1300€... Therefor we increase the budget, to be able to finnish it before the heavy rains come. Donations are more than welcome. ❤️ with Love, Matthu
