Help Liberian Girls become teachers

Our mission is to fundraise and financially support the training of female teachers in Liberia, a nation in which girls still lag behind boys in enrollment, retention and completion rates of all levels of education. 
Educate Girls Network specifically supports girls in the remote areas of River Gee and Maryland Counties located in southern Liberia (West Africa) who will complete their teacher education at the Willia
m V.S. Tubman University in Harper City, Maryland County.  

 Currently, Educate Girls Network is providing three scholarships and the three scholars have finished their academic year. EGN is looking forward to another successful one. 

- Francillia will graduate from the education program in 2018 with a degree in guidance and counseling. After her graduation, she wishes to serve her community.

- Saybeh will continue her studies in the College of Education at Tubman University, and she plans to graduate 2019. She has worked very hard i
n the face of some obstacles to be able to continue her studies. 

- Tresa was awarded an EGN scholarship to pursue her education in the nursing program at Tubman University. She has thanked all network friends for taking care of her tuition and fees. Tresa is continuing her nursing studies and will graduate in 2019.

EGN wants to continue supporting the three students and offer new students scholarships.  We wish to raise $2,500 USD for September 2017, as the next
academic year will starts then. A full scholarship costs $1,000USD per year; it covers tuition, fees, and room and board.  A partial scholarship covers tuition and fees and cost 400USD. 

We hope that all network friends will continue to support recipients to achieve their dream to complete their studies. Together we can change peoples' lives. Please support our initiative. With your support, the EGN will be able to provide scholarships to other female students and to continue to support the current recipients.
