Help the Diamonds go to Nationals!
The Diamonds have been in existence since 1994, under the direction of Tracy Wilkins-Dickerson who has volunteered for over 20 years....
On December 10, 2016 their hard work paid off when they took 1st place at the UCA Empire Regional competition at Nassau Community College, landing them a bid to the UCA Nationals in Orlando, Florida Feb. 11-12, 2017
With such short notice to prepare, and limited finances, we're hoping you would find it in your heart to help these hard working and dedicated girls, go to the Nationals, it would be a dream come true for them,
would you help them make their dream come true........
The girls it to the finals and placed 6th in the Nation! This was no small feat for these young ladies, some as young as 8 yrs old mastering elite level stunts.
The girls worked tirelessly and we are so proud of them and thankful for the lesson learned that hard work does pay off.
Unfortunately we couldn't bring those jackets home but we'll bring home memories to last a lifetime.
There are so many people to thank and my heart is so full with gratitude, but on the behalf of the PS307 Diamonds Varsity team we sincerely THANK YOU!!!
Our goal has been met, (hallelujah) our flights are booked and the hotel balance will be paid in FULL thanks to the kindness and generosity of so many, friends, family, church family, FB family, PS307 family and complete strangers that found it in their heart to give these girls a chance to live out a dream of competing on the highest level at the Nationals.
A huge thank you once again to Katharina Goetz for setting the spark and connecting us with Alexandra Leon the writer for DNAinfo and Michelle Charlesworth the reporter from ch.7 Eyewitness news. I would also like to thank Brooklyn12 and NY1, for covering our story.
I, Tracy Dickerson the coach will be withdrawing the funds to pay off the girls flight balances and hotel balances and eagerly await a chance to see those precious faces when we arrive at Disney Land.
Last but surely not least, "Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!" 2Cor.9:15
I am happy to help and keep those hard-working talented, athletic girls focused on such a great goal.
Congratulations on your fund-raising. Hope it goes really well!
Awesome girls! This is what hard work looks like! Keep up your grades that is your future, our future! So proud that you represent Brooklyn... It's where our story begins!
