First and foremost, thank you for just taking the time to read this. Thank you even more if you donate, you will be enabling a vibrant young man to recover from a horrible trauma.
Derric has been struggling getting on his own, started in the military, went to college, found he couldn't afford it, so began working to catch up and now a gunshot may take that all away from him.

He is uninsured and was shot behind the ear in early January 2019. He is exteremly lucky in that all of his brain functions are intact and his memory is fine, he can make a full recovery.
The smallest donation can help.
He is still hospitalized, but will likely be released later this month. He needs help to get on his feet.
He wont be able to work for several months, and his hospital costs, recovery treatments will be extensive and expensive.
He needs funds to cover:
- Living expenses (approximatly 25K for the next year)
- Post trama recovery treatment (150K)
- Current hospitalization bills (175K)
- Vocational rehabilitation (100K)
Derric can use your help. please help.
He lives simply. Having a small apartment and small needs.
He will need to seek counselling for tramatic recovery both physical and mental.
His job may be affected in that the brain injury may make commercial driving not a possible career, so will need to vocationally rehabilitate.
His hospital bill will be expensive with 4 days of ICU, and then 2-3 weeks of inpatient care.
BACKSTORY
Derric is turning 26 this year. He was born in North Carolina in a miltary family and has lived in Texas, Florida and Japan while he was growing up.

He loves animation and telling immaginative stories, and was in the Air Force, and seperated medically after a year. He went to college for visual arts focusing on his storytelling and found the costs too high, so he switched and got his commercial drivers licence to try and catch up, to restart school again later. He was getting his feet under him and now that is in jeopardy. Please help....
