Xiomara Elsie-Marie Defeating Odds

My daughter, Xiomara Elsie-Marie, was born on February 4th, 2017, prematurely, weighing just under 3lbs. She was in the fight for her life. She has already had a successful open heart surgery. She still deals with pulmonary hypertension. She has lung disease and can not breathe on her own, at the moment. She has had a successful tracheostomy. Xiomara still needs the ventilator to help her breathe along with her trach. She has also had a shunt successfully placed in her head to drain her excess fluid from her head. At almost 10months old Xiomara Elsie-Marie has never been out of the hospital. The doctors didn't think she would make it past three months. Although she is currently still in the hospital she is defeating odds left and right. When a doctor says she can't or wont, she does. She is my little miracle. Her doctors may have given up on her, but I will never give up on my babygirl fighting so hard to get healthier, and stronger so she can come home to her mom and big brothers. She's not just fighting, she's winning. I am a single mom of now three, (two older boys 18 & 10, and my little girl) and asking that you help my family get through this difficult time. Any and all donations will go to providing my daughter the best possible care. We are trying to move to a bigger place to accommodate all her medical equipment that she needs. I am only a mother working two jobs, running to the hospital, supporting one son as he enters college, and my youngest son academic and sports life. She is a fighter and I know she will be home soon. The struggle is so real, especially being so far from my support system (my family and lifelong friends) in NY. Every dollar counts and we can never have enough prayers going up on her behalf.
