Late Tuesday night Jan 2nd 2018, the Dominguez and Felix family lost David and Isaac after they were hit by 2 cars.  David (33 yrs old), his sister Giovanna (18 yrs old) and Giovanna's boyfriend, Isaac Felix (also 18 yrs old and a beloved friend of the family) were on the way home to Riverside from the Airport after dropping off one of their family members, when a drunk driver slammed into their car on the I-15 freeway in San Diego just before midnight. Police say the car that 1st hit them was probably going over 100 miles per hour.  More than a minute later a second car crashed into them causing their car to burst into flames and both David and Isaac were killed in the crash.   A few Good Samaritans were able to quickly pull Giovanna from the car inengulfed in flames saving her life.   She was taken to a nearby hospital with severe burns throughout her body where she is in stable condition.

If it wasnt for those Good Samaritans being there for Giovanna, she would have not been able to get out on her own and because of that our family will forever be greatful.  We believe the Giovanna's mom who recently passed might have been there to help with saving her life.

David leaves behind a wife, two small children and a family still recovering from the loss of David and Giovanna's mother.

The Dominguez family has already suffered a grave loss after the death of their mother after a long battle with wagner's disease a few months ago. Many of you know that their sister Tiare, just lost her sister-in-law after she suffered an aneurysm due to head trauma caused by a fall during a epilepsy episode last week https://www.gofundme.com/4xzdgwg . Tiare's husband, Jose Cano, now lost his brother-in-law to the hands of a drunk driver and a distracted driver.
This fund, in David's and Isaac's memory, will provide care and assistance to the people that meant the most to them, family. Any help or support (as little as it might be) you can provide to help the family during this sad and difficult time would be very much appreciated and will really go far for the family.  Those who have lost a loved one suddenly to illness or an accident know that sometimes even the smallest deed helps.  All donations made will be split and go towards the expenses for both families affected by this accident including a portion to David's two young children-age 5yrs and 8 yrs old.

Thank you in advance all for your support and God Bless you.

We want to thank all those who have been helping us during these very hard times. We have read the kind words many of you have been leaving on this page and want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the support.

Update on Giovanna: She's in a lot of pain from all her burns and broken fractures but she will heal. When she woke up yesterday she was in shock to discover her brother and boyfriend are dead. She is also very very very very thankful (and so are we) for those who helped her get out of the burning car. She's devastated she wasn't able to take her brother and boyfriend out of the car. Even though she was saved she's heart broken that she couldn't save them from the burning car and that she is the only survivor.

David's and Giovanna's father isn't taking the loss well but takes solace in knowing that we have so many kind people like you guys praying for us and sharing are story with others. If our tragic story will help others think twice before they get behind the wheel drunk then we will be happy knowing that we were able to help prevent other innocent victims from experience what we are now.
