Dave's Auto Repair and Collision - Dave Borden

Hi guys, my name is Mike and I am trying to help out my uncle Dave.

Uncle Dave had an automotive repair shop back home in New York and was doing good business working on vehicles as a mechanic. Earlier this week just as my uncle stepped out to be able to hear a phone call there was an explosion and the shop was gone. We still aren't sure what exactly started the fire or caused the explosion, but in a mechanic's shop there is certainly no shortage of flammable or combustible materials so we are really just lucky that there was nobody inside when the explosion happened! Uncle Dave is lucky to be alive after all of that, but the fire department had to knock down pretty much anything left of the structure in their efforts to control the fire. All of his tools, some of the cars, and everything else that he had inside is lost at this point and he needs to replace all of these things to get back to working and making a paycheck. I believe that he will likely need more than the $8,000 that we are graciously asking for to purchase tools and equipment, prepare a new space, pay any legal fees associated with licensing or zoning, and cover at least the first month's rent and cover at least a paycheck or two for his employees in the meantime, although he already has customers lined up with work for him once he can get going. The sooner that he can be up and running the better, and we can put all of this mess behind us.
