Funeral Expenses for Dave Koch
Donation protected
Dave was known to many as a man who loved his country deeply. He proudly served in the Air Force and was always ready to sit and talk about those days of his service. Dave was a go getter. He had more energy than the energizer bunny. One day, Dave started slowing down and it wasn't long and he was diagnosed with heart failure. He fought a long, and courages battle for the last couple years. Each time he would become sick, he'd call the ambulance for a ride to the hospital. The VA Medical Staff would fix him right up and he'd ride on out for another go around. He became known as the "Candle Man" because he made a fantasic scented candle, and he knew just what scents were good. Dave was there to help others, he often lent his ears to long distance friends troubled times. No one was ever a stranger, he called everyone, his friend. Dave opened his home to many, including strangers and together, with his wife, Susan, they would prepare a meal to share. Dave will be dearly missed by so many, and especially by his wife, Susan. They have been constant companions for over thirty years. As most Veterans, Dave didn't have a lot of financial means and with his cardiac disability, his ability to generate income was hindered. Friends have set up this GOFUNDME account in an effort to help his wife, Susan. She is currently recovering from back surgery and still needs assistance. With their savings gone to fund their medical care over the last few years, Susan could use some financial help. We are planning to have Dave buried at the DFW Veteran's Cementary, however, Susan first has to cover the cost of the creamation services and other expenses. Please help Susan, any donation would be greatly appreciated.
