The Daugherty Family have been separated for over 9 months. Mother, Erin, and both children have a genetic connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. In March of 2017 the family traveled to Seattle Washington for a 4 day whale watching vacation. While in Seattle their son became acutely ill and they took him to Seattle Children's Hospital. At first the doctors at Seattle Children's were in close phone contact with the family's doctors home in California and there was no question or concern about the diagnosis or chronic disease management. But after a few days and after a resident physician made errors leading to the family speaking to hospital administration and asking that doctor not care for their child any longer, the hospital retaliated in the most unbelievable way: They charged the family with Medical Child Abuse and Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy.
Over 9 months have passed since the family was forced to leave their son in the hospital, two states away from home, alone...then to fly home to California but Erin is forced to live away from her home and family. The family's 1st,4th,5th and 14th Amendment Rights have been removed without one single hearing or chance to defend themselves.
The Daugherty's are gagged by court order from sharing any details about the case. All updates prior to the gag order, December 5 are on the Facebook page #bringErinhome.
The family has been a part of the Ehlers-Danlos community, church volunteers, volunteer nurse, attended summer camps, volunteered as room parents, served with the Boy Scouts and American Heritage Girls...all that has stopped until the court case is over. Erin has had all rights as a mother, wife and nurse completely stripped away without due process of law: The courts keep postponing the case treating her as guilty with no chance to prove innocence. If this had been in Salem during the witch trials, this loving and dedicated mother would have already burned at the stake!
Please help this family raise the funds they need to hire expert witnesses and a private attorney. They want to reunite first and foremost: Then proceed fighting to defend their civil liberties and to help change the evil and corruption they have witnessed in this process.
