Help us save Sophia’s life!
Earlier this week we were contacted to help
a dog that was living in a basement. That dog was Sophia. We named her after the woman who desperately wanted to help her.
Sophia is 2 years old and has been living in a basement for quite some time. Never taken outside, never seeing the light of day. No human interaction.
We went and grabbed Sophia on Thursday and took her right to our vet’s office. She was very weak and had vomited blood. At the vet’s office she began to deteriorate. She became lifeless and our vet suggested taking her to the ER. We immediately jumped in our car and rushed her to ER.
Her situation was labeled “grave” and we were so worried she would not make it through the night. DITR began praying.
Thank God she made it through the night but she is still not out of the woods by any means. The doctors are not 100% positive what the diagnosis is but they are treating it as parvo. She is and will be receiving IV fluids and nutrition for quite some time while hospitalized.
Please help us save her. She deserves a chance to see what life is, what it feels to be loved.
