DelaneyGuitars TX Hurricane Relief

We have completed this fundraiser.  Thanks everyone.  We love you AND your generosity. 

Mike and I (owners of Delaney Guitars) want to help with the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, but cannot personally do so financially.  So we thought -- what can we do?  We decided we would build a very special Delaney Guitar -- a Texas guitar to give away to those that can donate funds to hurricane relief, (i.e., use the guitar to help incentivize others to give and our way of saying Thank You for donating).

100% of funds raised will go to organizations supporting Hurricane Harvey relief. All of the information on funds raised and the amounts distributed to recipient organizations will be published.  We have identified the Houston Food Bank - www.houstonfoodbank.org and Legacy Collective Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Fund - legacycollective.org/harvey as the recipients of the funds we raise.  We are not affiliated with either organization...we just believe in their missions.  Since GoFundMe cannot directly distribute to more than one charity, Delaney Guitars will have to withdraw the fund money, then distribute to each charity. 

We will do a Facebook Live event on October 7th for the drawing and the distribution of funds to the charities.

Below  are some details on the guitar we are building in our Bastrop, TX shop.  (Progress pictures of the Texas Guitar are being added to the bottom of this post as the guitar is built.)

Model: LaGrange (LaGrange, TX was one of our local communities hard hit.)

Body: Swamp Ash with Texas Walnut top (purchased from Berdoll Sawmill, Cedar Creek, TX)

Pickups: 2 Amalifitano Barrybuckers (Amalifitano pickups are made in the Dallas/Fort Worth TX area)

Neck: Maple w/ Rosewood fretboard - Standard C profile

Headstock: Delaney 3 & 3

Bridge: Schroeder TOM/STOP (The Schroeders have friends and family in the Houston area)

The Amalfitano pickups arrived! We just had to mock it up to show everyone.
