Help D.A.R.E. Reach Kids at Risk
Tax deductible
We understand you can’t help every youth protection program, but if you can only give once, we invite you to join D.A.R.E. in our mission:
To teach students good decision-making skills to help them lead safe and healthy lives. We envision a world in which students are empowered to respect others and choose to lead lives free from violence, substance abuse and other dangerous behaviors.
The time is now to leverage the power of technology. D.A.R.E. 's "keepin' it REAL" elementary and middle school program has set a goal to raise $75,000 by October 31, 2015 to develop a web-based, mobile-enabled program to reach students around the world by January 1, 2016!
"I wish everyone could have this app." - Emily, age 11
Drug abuse. Bullying. Gangs. Internet safety. Cyberbullying. Rx/OTC abuse. Our children face more dangerous challenges today than ever before. The D.A.R.E. Decision Making Model teaches students how to Define, Assess, Respond and Evaluate when faced with tough decisions. The keepin' it REAL curriculum empowers students to decisively, confidently and comfortably Refuse, Explain, Avoid, and Leave in difficult situations.
Millions of school children around the world need to learn how to avoid substance abuse and other high-risk behaviors. Since 1983, the evidence-based D.A.R.E. Program (www.DARE.org) has saved lives by offering interventions that reduce risky and deadly behaviors.
Students, parents, educators, law enforcement and community leaders need access to powerful tools inside the classroom and beyond. Smart devices and time spent on-line capture the attention and fascination of students - for better or worse. Your donation will help us deliver the D.A.R.E. message to where students are mentally and physically: on-line and in their smart devices.
Here is a roadmap of how your donation will be applied:
YOU make the difference! Our "stakeholders" - aka the school children - thank you for your support! You will receive a tax-deductible receipt for your donation today!
