Help Christina Fight

I don't know that anyone is ever prepared to hear the words "You have cancer" but on August 18th, 2015 not only did I hear those words but I also had to deliver those words. Christina Cross Smith is my 26 year old daughter and best friend, I have always taken her to every Dr's appointment that she has had as well as schedule and receive reminder calls of those said appointments on her behalf as her personal secretary LOL. Christina and her husband Richard are the proud parents of 7year old Cayden, 2 year old twins Christopher and Christina-Michelle and Codie who is 10 months old. While attending a follow-up appointment due to miscarriage Christina then informed her OB-GYN of a lump that she had recently discovered in her left breast while doing a routine self-examination and as they say "the rest is history". Christina had a sonogram, an ultrasound and a biopsy which confirmed she did indeed have breast cancer. I was truly at a loss for words when I received that call and wondered how on earth do I tell this beautiful, healthy looking, active, determined, young wife and mother who is already just beginning to grieve the loss of her baby that now those same breast that was used to nurtured her babies was being compromised by the cancer that was attacking at least one of them? From that moment until this very day I have watched her stand in faith, walk in victory, and encourage every person that she has come in contact with and share nothing but hope.
Christina is currently undergoing weekly Chemotherapy Treatments at the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center located here in Columbus, OH. And with every treatment it is becoming more evident of the effects associated with the chemotherapy. This Go Fund Me has been set up in an effort to elevate any additional stress associated with finances as there are days that her husband is unable to go to work due to caring for her and their 4 young children.
