Chris's Moving Fund

Hi everyone...

I'm here to ask a favor on behalf of one of my treasure hunting friends, Chris Yates. Chris has been searching for Forrest Fenn's treasure longer than I have (and that's over 3 years). He's usually helpful and seemingly always cheerful, and helps to keep the chase lighthearted when things get dark and conflicts arise.

He lives in Arizona and he has appealed to the Chase communty (and anyone else willing) for help. He helps support his sister and her 2 young children, and both he and his sister were recently laid off from work. Chris tried desperately to get a new job and to to raise the money needed to prevent eviction, but due to a severe back injury, he has not been able to find work, and as of tomorrow, Chris, his sister and two young children will have no place to live.

I have volunteered to set up this fund, which will help him get his family a motel, food, and put a deposit on a new place to live. I believe that as a chase community, just as we came together for Randy, and as we came together at Fennborree, we can lay aside our differences and help our brother. 

Let's prove to the world that we, as a chase community, will leave noone behind. This could be a first step toward a new unity. When one of our own, whether you agree with his theories or not, needs help, we ought to be right there by his side, helping him in any way we can. 

Some of you may not be able to help financially, but may be able to help in prayer. We can show Chris that God is real and works miracles. 

And we can show the world that we are not bitter back biters who enjoy the suffering of others. I want to see the chase family reunited and strong. And we can do this through a common goal--helping Chris get back on his feet.
