TasteBudsMatter

Greetings,
My name is Samantha Davis, I am an aspiring chef who caters small events for family and friends. Upon graduating college with a degree in Culinary Arts, my passion for cooking only heightened. It makes me want to explore new foods and new food items from around the world. In order for me to expand that idea, I need to start my food journey, right here in New York.

Which leads me to my next point, every restuarant among others happens to be a "must visit" on my Food Dream List. It would be an honor if I was able to come by, dine at their establishment and perhaps meet with the owner at their convenience.

I would also like to Blog about my experience, take a menu, and a few pictures of what my taste buds crave and if it's not too much to ask possibly a tour of theBack of the House. Again this is for my personal experience, I believe this will help me with networking and provide with the experience of understanding the need to establish myself as a chef. It is great to know people in your field. Lastly, I have a food page (@tastebudsmatter) feel free to take a look. There you will find many awesome dishes along with people who made or inspired the dish. Even restaurant owners have made an appearance on the page, hopefully I can gain more. By visting these establishments I can tell the world how my experience indulging in one of their meals went.

I love cooking just as much as I love food in general. I dream about traveling as much as I can to study the beautiful art of cooking and developing my skills as an aspiring chef.  Meeting both Chef Riley & Delange Not only are they amazing chefs, but she  extraordinarily inspiring. By my measure, they are  GREAT CHEFS, because they takes ingredients that people usually hate and makes it into something so tasty: that’s what this chef does!. As Well as a Caterer, whose job is to fullful the customers taste buds as well as their event.

I don’t have much of a sad story, nor will I make up one for support. I want you guys to read this and trust that every cent donated toor this cause will be well worth it and appreciated. I have achieved so much from my education already: my Food Handlers License and Beverage Management License, and the skills to manage two jobs as well as gradute College. I have also given back to my community, participating in "Teen Cooking" at the Forestdale Adoption Home, helping kids cook and being an inspiration for them. Also, I have created an interview which was sent to Rachel Ray to help  Forestdale Inc get funded (thank you Ms.King * one of the leaders of the Organization ) .

Throughout my life, my goals and what I wanted to be have constantly changed. I thought to myself, "why not be something that I would love being? Doing something I would enjoy?”. Life to me is like a full meal, with an appetizer, an entrée, and a dessert. Everyone wants to skip straight to dessert without acknowledging the appetizer and enjoying the full portion of an entree. But I disagree. I think appetizers are like the start of a clear path in my future, and finishing a entree means accomplishing the goal I have always dreamed of. Then comes the dessert, which is a little treat to my success, something I've been striving to get. My full course meal to happiness begins with an appetizer and ends with dessert. Bettering my culinary skills, is my appetizer, and becoming a talented chef. Not only is cooking my passion but I hope to reach out to people through my experience with cooking and food creations. Having a goal is great, but having a goal that you strive to achieve every day of life is truly amazing. I want to wake up every morning never regretting my career, to wake up every morning excited and smiling just to get to work.
