On the 28th of November, Associação Chapecoense de Futebol were travelling by plane from Santa Cruz de la Sierra to the city of Medellin to play the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana final against Colombia's Atletico Nacional. It was set to be the biggest game in Chapecoense's short, yet remarkable, history. Chapecoense's dream came to a devastating end on route to Medellin as the plane carrying the team crashed. 71 individuals lost their life, including19 Chapecoense players and staff.
In order to recover, Chapecoense will require a vast amount of support from countless different sources. Together, we can do our bit and show that the UK cares deeply.
As active members of the Latin American community in the United Kingdom we were devastated by the incident. We feel that it is our collective responsibility to make a significant contribution to the rebuilding process of the club, the physical and mental rehabilitation of survivors and to the mourning families of the deceased.
100% of proceeds will be sent directly to Associação Chapecoense de Futebol to demonstrate our support and solidarity with all of those affected.
