We post this on behalf of our dear friends in their time of sadness.
Ra, Falona and all of their immediate and extended family are deeply grateful for the outpouring of sympathy received in the aftermath of this tragic loss.
Xavier truly was a remarkable young man and we are heartbroken that his life was cut short far too soon. Despite his short time on this planet, he made a difference and was committed to justice and positive change. He has left all of us with many treasured memories.
The memorial service will take place on Friday, June 16th at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, located at 5850 South Woodlawn Ave, Chicago, IL 60637. Visitation to begin at 11am and services at noon.
Meanwhile, the Joy Family wants to express how deeply they appreciate the many offers of support they have received. In lieu of flowers, we ask you to consider making a contribution to the Celebrating Xavier Joy campaign to help defray the memorial and funeral costs.
