Care House Needs Your Help Today

Over the last couple of years, because of the shortfall in donations, Care House has run up some credit card debt -- not a lot, about $25,000. A generous person who has been associated with Care House for a very long time has pledged $10,000 to help eliminate this debt provided we can match it with $10,000 in donations from other individuals.
Care House provides help and support to homeless and at-risk kids in San Diego and, where appropriate, their families. Over the last fifteen years, Care House has grown both in the number of kids it serves as well as the range of programs it provides – and these programs are tailored to the needs of the day. Recently, Care House has added two programs to try to help those kids who are really "in pain". Care House, a non-profit 501[c][3] organization is funded entirely by donations from individuals and a handful of larger organizations. The budget is always very tight -- not a penny is wasted; we have a small staff. Many volunteers give of their time in support of the programs and the day-to-day running of Care House. Older kids become "student workers" in order to give back to Care House.
So, can you help us by making a donation? Will you step out of your comfort zone? Ten people at $1,000 and we will have it done; it would take 40 people at $250. So how about it?
