Captain Paul Barbour Memorial 5k

Donation protected
Our mission is to host an event in honor of Captain Paul J. "Stuck" Barbour, USAF, who was tragically killed in a training incident last November that will bring the Prescott community together and give back to Airmen and their families.

The event will be hosted at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Prescott Campus on March 3rd, 2018. It is being organized by a group of Air Force Cadets on campus, and staffed by dedicated volunteers. Check-in will begin at 8:00 AM, and the race will begin at 9:30. Runners of all ability levels and backgrounds are encouraged to participate! Warrior face-paint and other activities will provide fun for all participants, while the race will be accurately timed for those with a more competitive nature to enjoy.

Who is Capt. Paul Barbour?  Originally from Van Nuys, California, Capt. Barbour attended Embry-Riddle in Prescott, Arizona as an Air Force Cadet, where he served with distinction as a member of both ROTC Detachment 028 and the Steven M. Scherp Squadron of Arnold Air Society, a service organization in the Cadet wing. He graduated in the class of '09, successfully competing for a pilot slot and completing training. He was killed in a tragic accident at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, one year after becoming a flight instructor at the base. This event is intended to honor his legacy of service and do good for Air Force families like his.

All funds raised by the event will be donated to the Air Force Aid Society, which is a non-profit organization that has a long track record of helping Airmen in need and their families, and is the official charity of the United States Air Force. Online pre-registration for the run costs $15, while registration at the event will cost $20.  Any donation to the campaign of $15 or more will pre-register you for the run! Additionally, if you would like to purchase a commemorative T-shirt, you can visit our CustomInk campaign here .  Donations are always accepted.
