Hi Everyone,
We are friends and members of Katie McGowan's Old Irving Park Book Club. We want to do something meaningful for Katie and the girls; something that will put smiles on their faces.
We put out heads together and came up with a pretty worthwhile plan. Katie has longed for a front yard makeover for quite awhile. What a perfect time for such a project! A beautiful new front walkway and landscaping could go a long way in revitalizing spirits, every time Katie and the girls return home.
Katie met with Anne Roberts, of Anne Roberts Gardens, and came up with a dream design that she would love have become a reality. While Anne is graciously donating the design and some materials, there are still hard costs associated with the project. We truly want this to be a gift, with no financial expectation falling on the family.
Would you please consider donating to this campaign? Many of you have also expressed the wish to do something for the family, and we hope this provides a thoughtful means to do so. The front yard makeover would serve as a long-standing reminder of the friends and community that love and care about the Cantu family.
(There will also be a need for physical labor, help with planting, etc, but we will get back to you about that if you wish to participate!)
Thank you for your consideration,
Old Irving Park Book Club
