CALLING ALL TROJANS!!!
Hello! My name is Ben Barnett, president of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity at Troy University.
The purpose of this fundraiser is for Mr. Joseph Arnold, a first year professor here on our very own campus. Mr. Arnold is a local who was a teacher at Elba High School before coming to Troy University. He is also blind, but he does not let this disABILITY hinder him. He trumps over this adversity every single day, and is an OUTSTANDING professor who gives it his all in the classroom.
Mr. Arnold received a phone call at work roughly three weeks ago, exclaiming that his house had just burned to the ground. Yes, the insurance is covering many costs, but it is not replacing one valuable item in particular, eSight. This piece of equipment allows Mr. Arnold to see, which enables him to more easily prepare lesson plans, grade work, and most importantly see his family. It is overall improvement to the quality of his life, and I would like to see us come together and replace the eSight.
All proceeds are due on Friday, October 7th, 2016. All proceeds will be given forward to the purchasing of the eSight, and no single organization benefitting. This event is bigger than any single organization, this is about showing that #OneTroy #OneFamily love and compassion. Please join me in donating for this great cause, and leave a lasting impression on Mr. Arnold and his family. I understand this is a hefty goal to reach, but together as one big Trojan family, I believe we can do anything.
