Budd and Aiden Housing & Child Care

My name is Darren Smith and I'm trying to help raise money for a single father, Budd and his son, Aiden.  Aiden is a beautiful 3 year old boy whose biological mother abandoned him as an infant.  Budd, the father, quit school to raise his son alone.  He has no emotional, financial or moral support from either the mother or his own family.  For approximately 3 years, Budd and Aiden lived on a couch at Aiden's self proclaimed God mother's apartment. 

I heard about Budd and Aiden thru my wife and Candice and decided I wanted to meet them. Until recently, Candice was the only person that Budd and Aiden had as a support person in their lives.  Budd had to quit college and currently has  a job as a sandblaster.  However, he only can work when the weather permits.  Lately, Texas has had a lot of inclement weather, so, he's not always able to work; however, he never complains.

When I finally met Budd and Aiden, I was truly impressed by his maturity, unadulterated love and kindness from this 21 year old single father with zero support from either family side. I reflected my own maturity level at his age; and subsequently,  I felt compelled to help. Whereas most young men his age are concerned about other activities, Budd spends every available moment with his son.  He showers him with the only thing that he truly has - Love and his time.  I currently have rented them a very small 210 sq ft efficiency apartment so that they don't have to live on Candice's couch.  His 15 year old car that he uses for work is broken down and is no longer a viable or safe transportation mechanism.  

I'd like to help raise money to get him better living accomodations, fix or replace his car and get better child care services for Aiden. I personally feel truly blessed that I'm educated, self employed and can assist he and Aiden financially with this apartment.  I reflect on my own life and realize that many people have helped me along the way to where I am today - Parents, teachers, counselors, mentors, pastors and friends. 

We ultimately come into this world alone and leave it alone. We aren't allowed to take any of the material possessions or money we acquire along the way.  Even Steven Jobs reflected this during his last days on earth.  So, love your family, kids and friends and randomly reach out and  help others financially or emotionally, if possible.  Our legacy should be about the love and kindness we leave behind.

I appreciate your time and consideration regarding Budd and Aiden.  Hopefully, together we can make a substantial difference in their life currently.
