Joe's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Joe had gotten into an accident which caught on fire and started a mountain fire. He was air lifted to the Burn ward and has been there ever since. He has burns to ~40% of his body and a fracture in his leg that may need additional surgery once his burns are better. The major concern with burns are infections. He was sedated for over 2 weeks with a respiratory tube, which he came down with a high fever and pneumonia. He is now able to breathe on his own and no longer has a respiratory tube inside him. He had many surgeries/operations done to close up his wounds and is still fighting small battles everyday to get better. He has not been able to drink any water still due to risk of water going into his lungs and getting pneumonia again. His next steps to recovery is speech and physical therapy.
All the donations will be given to Joe & the passenger he was with as I do not wish to make their identity known.
Anything helps and if you would like to visit him, please email me or call me if you have my number and I will explain the process.
Lastly, please refrain from contacting him as he is unable to move or use his hands at the moment and keep any negative comments to yourself.
