Hi. My name is John, but everyone knows me as JD. 

I've been in Radio for over 25 years, but I have a vision to convert this 1975 Double Decker Bus into a Mobile Coffee Shop so that people in the community can he helped. 
I hope to make this a social enterprise and help people get a step up into work as baristas or into the vast hospitality industry, while also providing a platform to help people in need in other ways.

One of the aims is to offer the best quality coffee and food to paying customers to fund outreach and connection to those in the community who need a leg up, a warm drink, a friendly chat, or somewhere to chill out for a while.  
Thanks to your generosity, we were able to purchase the bus, which is registered, running, and now parked at my home. The faster we can see the funds raised, the quicker we can start to get going with the project. 
There are dozens of people wanting to "get on board" with this project, many with skills and abilities to help refurbish and prepare the bus for the job, but this is the first step in a bold journey. 

This project has been long in processing and has gone through a number of changes from the original dream, but the vision has always been to help others and not just to make a buck! 

Coffee provides a great medium for people to come together to connect, chat, chill out, and become friends. My heartfelt goal has always been to value people and show them respect by providing time for them and a platform for them to gather. The bus will be that platform, with a kitchen and serving area downstairs and seating upstairs.
